Ramsey Group Practice was founded in 1966 when the existing Waterloo Road and Albion Terrace practices formed the new partnership. The practice opened on its present site in 1972 with four partners. The practice partnership now consists of five full-time and two part-time doctors, who are part of a primary care team providing health care to over 14,000 patients. The practice covers the northern plain of the island extending from Glen Mona to Kirk Michael. The main surgery is based in Ramsey. A further branch surgery at the Jurby Health and Community Centre opened in January 2012.

They also provide medical cover for the Ramsey lifeboat crew.

The mosaic shield on the homepage of this website, by the late Frederick Firth, represents the Raven of Ramsey, the Owl of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the ancient medical symbol of the Staff and Serpent.
